Equipment You Will Need:

  • Trochar drain DR2012T-K kit.

  • Active Drainage Extensions DRACTIVE2 or DRACTIVE3.

  • Emodren Drain Kit (700ml) DR-EM700.

Assembly:

1. Once drain is in place attach:

  • For 10-16 Fr drains – Needle-Free Valve (supplied in the kit)
  • For 18-28 Fr drains – Needle-Free Adapter (supplied in the kit – for secure attachment it is recommended to use cyanoacrylate glue – tissue glue).

18fr – 28fr Needle Free Kit with adaptor

2. Attach Active Drainage Extension DRACTIVE2, DRACTIVE3 or Heimlich Pillow Valve to the end of the Needle Free valve or adapter.

Step 2 -10fr – 16fr Chest drain and connector

Step 2 -18fr-28fr Chest drain and connector

3. Attach the Emodren tubing DR-EM700 to the distal end of ONE-WAY part of the Active Drain System DRACTIVE2, DRACTIVE3 or Heimlich Pillow Valve.
4. Attach distal end of the tubing to the grenade.
