End Extensions - General

We currently offer FIVE end extensions to meet virtually any need in clinical practice, including needle-free Y-ported extensions. End extensions can make your infusion therapy much easier, less time-consuming and safer for your patient, especially for longer-term therapy and difficult cases. It is far more important just to use an end extension than to worry specifically about which one is best. We believe this is so important that all our ModuFlo sets includes the short end extension (EEKP4125) as standard. All our end extensions allow simple patient disconnection from your favourite infusion line, but they also allow you to choose an extension based on the following characteristics:
*	Tube resilience, based on patient size and activity
*	Injection priming volume, based on flow rate and drug delivery requirements
The features of these extensions include:
*	Simple disconnection from infusion lines
*	Reduces trauma to catheter connection and risk of dislodging catheter
*	Allows use of valves and connectors
*	Tubing options to suit your patient
*	Low or ultra-low injection priming volumes
*	Gives the benefit of priming volumes and kink-proofing with any infusion line (e.g. infusion pump-specific)
*	Low profile for patient comfort
*	All extensions can be secured to patient above the catheter insertion point

Kink-proof End Extensions
	Short end extension: 25 cm; fully kink-proof; standard Y-port injection site; 0.4 ml priming
	Kink-proof end extension: 50 cm; kink-proof; standard Y-port injection site; 0.45 ml priming

Mini-Bore End Extensions
	T-Connector: Classic T-connector; 10 cm tube length; T-port site; 0.06 ml priming
	Mini-Bore: High tube resilience; 18 cm long; Standard Y-port; 0.15 ml priming
	Needle-Free Mini-Bore: 19 cm long; reversed needle-free Y-port; 0.25 ml priming
