Born in Yorkshire, he qualified from Massey (NZ) in 1987. Mark then spent 4 years in small animal practice before returning to the UK in 1991 for a 6-month working holiday... and has obviously forgotten to return to New Zealand! He has a keen interest in small animal surgery but has recently followed a clinical path in emergency medicine and surgery. He now dedicates all his time to running Infusion Concepts.

His other full-time job is looking after his cat, Sybil. in his spare time Mark enjoys hill walking, theatre, landscaping and real ale pubs. He agrees with Terry Pratchett, who wrote: ‘I don’t want to get a life… because I’m trying to lead three already!’
